The initial release of Safety Cloud will focus on event use cases, but later versions will include tools to help create safer workplaces. “Businesses around the globe are looking for the best ways for their employees, customers and partners to get together, safely,” Bret Taylor, Co-CEO of Salesforce, said in a statement. “Testing is the path forward and Safety Cloud enables organizations of all types to take the complexity out of events, and bring people together again with confidence.” Safety Cloud is a platform with which organizations can collect and verify the health status of their employees and customers – via test results, vaccination records and health attestations. Customers can also use the platform to define and automatically implement event safety protocols. For instance, an organization could use it to send event attendees personalized emails about testing requirements and deadlines. Organizations can also use it to create “Dreampasses” for individuals – secure, multi-factor passes for validated access into an event or workplace.  Safety Cloud is also integrated with different at-home, pharmacy and onsite Covid-19 testing options – including options from CVS Health, eMed, Cue Health, ixlayer and Senneca DX – so that test results can be automatically sent to the platform. Safety Cloud will also support SMART Health Cards and EU Digital COVID Certificates, which are paper or digital versions of clinical information, such as vaccination history or test results. The new platform brings together features Salesforce has deployed incrementally since the start of the pandemic, including features it has used for its own events and workplace re-openings. For its Dreamforce 2021 events in San Francisco and New York, the cloud giant facilitated more than 21,500 COVID-19 tests and verified more than 8,000 vaccine credentials.
